Zzzz....

Sleep. Everybody does it, and we all do it differently. Tom and I? Well, we certainly do it differently. Differently from each other.

Tom works really hard and is pretty tired all day long. Poor guy. So, he likes naps in the middle of the day if he can find a spare moment. They come easily to him and I can find him passed out on the couch, on the bed, even on the floor.
But as the sun goes down, Tom's energy level goes up. He's quite the night owl and it is on a VERY rare occasion that he can get to bed before 11 or midnight. (To me, that's SO LATE!)

Me, on the other hand, I sleep at night, like most people, except maybe a little earlier. 9:15 or 9:30 rolls around and I'm curled up on the couch struggling to keep my eyes open and bobbing my head. I'm definately not a night owl. I'm more of a morning person and prefer to live by "early to bed, early to rise." Except not too early... Maybe I'm complicated. And naps aren't the easiest for me. I can sneak a few in, but usually it's on days when I didn't go to bed until late and got up early. I need lots of sleep I guess.

We work on slightly different schedules and our body clocks are a little behind each other, but we work it out. Tom is a sweetheart and keeps himself busy while I doze on the couch. I don't go to bed without him, although he argues that I should. Oh well. I'd rather be with him, even if it's not quite all the way there with him.
